One of the most well-known communities on Hilton Head Island is the Palmetto Dunes Resort. This 2,000-acre community features three golf courses, two hotels, over 3 miles of beaches, a 35-court tennis center, bike trails, shops, and restaurants. Another highlight of Palmetto Dunes is its eleven miles of lagoons that meander throughout the homes and villas and is ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
Within the gates of Palmetto Dunes is the exclusive Leamington section, which features its own security gated entrance. Located across from the Arthur Hills Clubhouse is a recreational center with pool, baby pool, pavilion, and boat dock on the lagoon system as well as a Beach Pavilion providing Leamington residents direct access to the Atlantic Ocean.
